“Ever been on a trapeze?” The challenges of the Gig Economy and some great tips for independent consultants.

A recent article published by Harvard Business Review delivers some practical advice for anyone in or looking to join the Gig Economy as an independent.  With all of the discussion on this topic at the moment, it’s great to see time being taken to actually talk to those in the thick of it and get their insights.

 

While the Gig Economy is not new, it’s certainly growing, with 150 million workers across North America and Europe leaving their jobs to become an independent consultant.  In this article, 65 gig workers were interviewed and the results analysed so that we can gain the benefits of their insights and strategies for effectively navigating what can be a personally challenging environment.
