Online platforms slowly working for the labour market; but there’s still significant opportunity.

While the likes of Monster and LinkedIn are playing a role in the aggregation of CV’s and worker profiles, more must be done to adopt new technology in all sectors of the workforce, including consultants and independent contractors.
On line talent platforms have th
e potential to boost labour markets by more effectively and efficiently connecting talented specialists with organisations seeking their expertise. By 2025, more than 200 million freelancers globally could benefit from online talent platforms that better connect them with organisations requiring their expertise. In addition to increasing transparency and access to these skills, digital platforms will provide data and insights into the skill areas most demand for both the business sector and education sector.
